cold air intake
WOW...4 different questions from 4 different askers, all in a single page thread. This must be a record!
Hey, let's make it five...I'm restoring an old Vette to original specs. Does anybody know where I can buy "factory air" to put in my tires?

I was able to fashion a ram air system in the fender well of the 305 engine bay. 1988 camaro and stock 305 engine.
i used dryer vent hose and a 3X6 inch rectangular furnace duct for a scoop. duct tape on tight spots.
the scoop is mounted below with strapping and is as low as you can get away with. should get a good push of cool road air. the hose snakes up and into the fender. move a brace and reposition one of the horns, i think i recall.
the hose connects to the stock snorkle air tight air cleaner. K&N filter of course.
i get some road bugs in the air cleaner, so it is getting a good push.
i had a twin set up like this on my old 1967 327, back in the day. there was lots of room in the engine bay. worked even better with two scoops.
the price is right, kinda hillbilly. works for me.
