Default cold air intake

hey guys i have a 85 305 v8 (carbuerated) an was lookin at getting a cold air intake. I have next to no experience but was woundering if i would be able to instal it or would i have to tak it to a garage. Thank u very much

hell i have a 91 tbi and was wandering if it would even help. guys any tips?

i have one on my truck with tb intake and it helped. not sure about the carb setup.

No, you don't need to take it to a garage, but I'd give it an old fashioned tune up instead. CAI is not going to give you much if any noticable gains, just another place to invite future problems.

yea, there is not much you can do with the carb or tbi setup. spectre does make a custom weld together setup, but for anything less than 600 hp it isnt going to do much. best thing to do is just run a dryer hose to a spot where there is cooler air.

i would imagine a k&n filter would help more than anything .i put one on a blazer with a 350 an the tbi an seen better gas milage an a bit noticable throttle response .

have a 92 rs 305 tring to install the blower motor resistor and cant find it on the passenger side bottom of dash, anyone help?

pick up a good air filter setup and ull be good to go. good intake manifold would be a good thing.
