I want to replace the low gear non posi rear end in my 91 RS. How can one tell the difference between a posi and the rear end thats in there now? Any suggestions on which rear end to look for that will bolt right in? Maybe justa drum to disk upgrade. Thanks

 

look on your RPO sticker for G80, thats the limited slip code. if you want one that will bolt right in. look for one out of another third gen. The 9bolt is a good choice for a direct fit swap. but if you want to spend a little money, you can get the ford 9" and swap out the mounts from the rear in your RS already to the 9". But unless your a GOOD WELDER and are able to make the mounts in the right spot, bring it to somebody to have it done. I wouldnt think it to cost TOO much to do, but it wont be super cheap. and I might also check jegs and spohn preformance. and the breaks you can just plane out buy them but there not cheap.
