For the record, an IAC can be bad even though it's clean and looks in good condition. It works like an electric plunger, so an IAC can malfunction if it has an electrical problem.

does it stall any other time other than idle? if you bump it in and out of gear, can you hear the revs pick up? the exhaust tone will change with the added load, so dont mistake that for revs changing

the only time it stall is at idle and the rpms do change if it is bumped in and out of gear

I am gonna get the IAC valve checked before I go any farther.

if the rpms increase more than about 100 rpm then im about 80% sure it would be the iac

haven't got the IAC checked yet but what else could cause this problem
