Okay lets start off with this. Ive got a 1987 camaro 2.8 v6. My friends got an 87 monte SS with a HO 305 and 700r4 tranny. The engine, transmission, and rear end are all in good shape but most of the body is crap. He only wants 600 for it and i can part out the rest of the good parts and probably get my money back (its even got the ttops with the original ttop bags). I know most of you guys are gonna say screw that just get a 350 but im only 17 and my dad being protective would probably kill me if i got a 350 so my question is do you think this would be a pretty good idea to do? I can get everything swapped for pretty much free. What else would i have to do for the swap (parts to buy, etc i already know i need an exhaust) As of right now my car is being repainted sunburst orange metallic, getting the front left frame horn pulled, brand new bumper, all for 800 and an iroc hood for FREE (just needs louvers) Im also gonna get the hatch louvers too. I just want an engine to compliment the resto and for how much money i have, i think this would be perfect.
