i was going to rebuild a 350 i picked out of a truck i got because they guy couldnt pay me. him and his neighbor said it was a strong motor. i didnt pay attention to them and blew it apart. most of the rings were broken and missing, the cylinder were extremely worn, and the bearings had nothing left. at that point, i figured it was cheaper to get a crate engine as everything in my motor was junk

So I just got my first oil change done, found a couple other issues while they were at it.

Power steering fluid was low, and brake fluid was empty(!). I'm leaking a bit of transmission fluid apparently, and according to them my rear diff oil is dark and should be serviced soon. And my center brake light doesn't work. And my alignment is out.

Considering it's 24 years old and it's just spent the last 3 years sitting in a driveway, that's not so bad. Better than I was expecting anyway.

is that rear drums or disc? if drums, hopefully it's just a wheel cylinder. having to replace brake lines if it's the hard line is a pain in the butt. You end up doing the whole thing.

I got all disc brakes.

I found out this morning though I apparently have some connections I can work through to get that done a bit cheaper, but it's still gonna have to wait until after winter is over I think. I'm out of money for now, lol.
