Angry 1985 z28 needs help

i have a 85 z28 with a 350 bored .40 highrise alum intake 750 carb all mllory ignition, a cam with something around 480 lift and hooker headers forged crank h beam rods and flat tops 202 160 heads highvolume oil pump and holley electric fuel pump it is currently not in the car because i am not sure if the trans i want to use will work it is a buil th350 that will handle more power than i need it to with a shift kit and has a 3200 stall converter in front of it. Now what i need to know is if the crossmember and everything will work for tis trans before i go sticking it in there and find out that it wont. I dont want to go to a 700r4 because my cousin pretty much dropped his on the ground and he was not pushing near the power i am. What will i have to do to get this trans to work.

There is nothing wrong with a 700R4. If built even mildly it'll handle 500+hp no prob.

You'll need this: http://www.summitracing.com/parts/HUU-5500001/
Or this one: http://www.summitracing.com/parts/BMM-30299/
Plus a driveshaft, which the second link states a stock 1982 T-200 shaft will work.
