Default 1985 camaro..what to do..?

So i was thinking about buying this 1985 Camaro with a v8 not sure what kind has 170,000 miles on it with a new paint job, looks clean he was asking 2000 for it. i thought about buying it and tryin to turn it into a street legal car with some *****, anyone got any suggestions if its a good deal and what upgrades should i focus on first to make it a reliable Daily Driver also..? im new to the Muscle Car area so i wanted to see what all the hype was

With that many miles, half the price and buy a new engine. Maybe 1500 if the body is very clean, but I personally try to steer clear of anything with more than about 80,000 miles.

any small black chevy v8 before 87 will fit and still use your intake manifold.

In my opinion just go with a nice 350 most if not all of the parts off the 305 will fit plus the 350 is cheaper to work on and upgrade with a ton of parts

302. You can even start the build with a modern 350.

Then bolt on a pair of turbochargers. Make the days last longer by launching it facing east~

Assuming you have enough power to turn the Earth, launching facing east would cause the Earth to turn from east to west, the opposite direction that it usually turns, causing the sun to either slow down in its daily travel, or reverse direction.

There was a whole discussion about that awhile back that no one could figure out the correct answer.
