Question 1985 454

hey guys this isnt a camaro question, but its a chevy v8 question. my dad has an 85 chevy dually 1 ton 2wd. it has a 454 with a quadrajet 4-barrel carb, i belive its a 1050. it doesent have any catalytic converters and it has "factory" type headers with true dual 40 series flowmasters. my question is what is an accurate horsepower rating for this engine? i do know this truck is strong, very strong, its just a farm truck and it will pull 11- 1,800 pound round bales of hay like nothing. oh btw, it also has a turbo 400 tranny with 3:73 gears. thanks

It's rated at 230hp/360tq.

I have basically the same setup in my '78 GMC 2500 4X4 but with an Edlebrock Performer intake, headers and a mild RV performance cam.
I also have the 400turbo trans but with 4:56 gears, pulls like a freak'n freight train.

Lol,it's no gas miser that's for sure,it has a 6" lift with 36" TSL radial Super Swampers on it so the taller tires help some with the low gears but the swampers also make a lot of road friction too so it doesn't really help my mileage any.
I can get about 9mpg down hill with a good tail wind.
