Default what year engine

I just bought an 2.8EFI engine to swap into a 1983 Blazer.
I have been told it is out of a Camaro, that's all I know.
The whole engine is complete, including wiring harnass, ECU, air inlet etc etc.
However I have a problem with indentifying the year of the engine.
Does anyone know how to to this??

Is there any difference with a carburated (Blazer S10) engine, like cam, heads??

Thanks, Edwin

Is the engine still out of the car?
If so look at the block for numbers and inter the numbers in to google or a engine website.
