Default Replacing fuel filter..

Need to release fuel pressure.
Any suggestions on how? I would like to make as little mess as possible.

I have been looking for the fuel pump relay to disconnect, and i'm not quite sure where to find it.

I disconnected the battery, and opened up my gas tank and pushed on the gas pedal a bunch to try to relieve some of the pressure, would that be enough?

Any suggestions would be great, TIA!

Just pull the fuel pump fuse and crank the car with the gas cap off.
