Fairly new to the camaro world, but Ive got the V6 2.8 as well (85), slapped a cherry bomb mounted transverse on it within the first week of owning it, sounds great at idle, though when revving at the higher rpms (3k+) you can hear it getting to a higher pitch and less of a throaty rumble. Not sure if the 44 will do that or not.. or if its just a V6 thing. Any performance muffler I think put on it though will give it a good aggressive rumble from stock (As long as it isn’t a fart-can).

Pacesetter makes a smog legal header for the 2.8s'. None for the 90-92 3.1s' though because they have the electric EGR in the exhaust manifold. That would make a pretty good sound to go with your flowmaster

http://www.pacesetterexhaust.com/headers_detail.php

http://store.summitracing.com/partde...p;autoview=sku

Find just about any manufactures part number and put a prefix in front of it in a search through summit and if they sell it you can find it.
In this case I searched summit for PSM 70-1206

And me. I rather buy from Summit than ****-E-bay no matter how good a BS score the seller has. Also Summits is cheaper and if they don't have an oversized charge its only like $10 shipping through Fed Ex or UPS.

I had dual outlets on my mom's S10 when it had its 2.8 and it did not sound bad. I don't think you are really going to hear a big difference between the two.
