EGR.
So.. EGR. Is there anyway to bypass it and remove completely? Its been something thats been bugging the crap out of me. Previous owner just totally fawked the entire thing up.. I don't think there is a whole lot of hope is repairing it unless I managed to get a complete set someplace(All the pipe-stand-offs and tubes alogn with the sensors and what-not). Id like to completely remove it, is it doable without throwing a Check Engi light constantly?
he has another issue too (xovit) we have been attempting to chase it down, but cant figure it out, on cold starts, it pretty much wants to die, we have replace the FPR (was nasty) and the IAC (completely seized) and its better than before but still runs like crap for a few minutes, we have thrown a pressure guage on there, and the system pressurizes to 45 PSI and holds for about a minute before it begins to bleed down, I suspect that the injectors may be leaking, such was the case in my cadillac, ideas?
Pressure will bleed down. How fast is it though? After replacing those items did you disconect the battery and drive it a few times? The computer will know when parts are failing and adjust to compensate and it will store that info. If all is fixed disconnecting the battery for a few seconds will clear it. But if there is another minor problem it will take some drive cycles to relearn.
It also never hurts to change the O2 sensor. Those should be a regular maintanence item. along with fuel filter. Maybe put some Techroline (sp) in the tank.

after the pressure begins its bleed down its about 1 PSI every 30 seconds or so, as fer the o2, well lets just say it aint comin out lol... as soo as we get his headers and new y pipe a new o2 will be installed, fuel filter was replaced a week before his lift, we'll try some techron in the tank, and i was kind of thinking about running some GM top engine cleaner through it too
Yeah.. it isnt coming out, its bird-turded on, lol.. But if that was it, would it explain why its only rough for the first minute or two, an then runs fine? Would think it'd constently run like **** if it wasn't working right at all. After the cars been running a while, if it sits and I go to start it it starts without a problem. If it sits for more then 6+ hours, then it starts to roughen up again on startup. Repeat process and after running for a min or two its fine again.
