if i swap my v6 out for a v8 what exactly am i going to need besides suspension and i heard but dont know if its true that i can use my 5 speed that is on my v6 right now if i can use it on the v8 help me out i have a couple days left before i rip my v6 out

 

You wont need suspension but since the V6's have lighter front springs it would not hurt to replace them. My 305 Rs had V6 springs since the 305 was an option and the V6 was standard. You will also need a V8 bell house for the V8 swap. If you do a search you will find this topic many times in here and may getmore answers than you need.

 

a friend of mine put a v8 in his and it dropped a couple inches from the ground

 

Like I said my RS had V6 springs and the optional 305 V8 in it.Also had 180,000 miles so they were very fatigued. They are lighter springs but they still worked.

 

what about my v6 fuel injection harness since im running a carb what do i do just cut it off or what

 

Just take all the wires that are connected to the computer and throw them away. The other wires, which would go to the firewall bulkhead connector, you will need to reuse.
