Smile building a 84 v8 camaro

ok i was told that i need a fbody transmission cause the bell housing so i was told only a fbody tranny would fit type of tranny is700r4 i have a t5 out of a v6 but i dont think it will bolt up to a v8

and if other 700r4 out of other cars fit what cars have a 700r4 thats compatible for a 84 350 camaro

the T5 from the V6 is a no go....what type of build are you doing, low dollar, or high(er) dollar? That will make a difference. You'll need a pre VSS 700R4 for your application. They are a good trans and if built correctly will take a lot of HP and Torque. Those trans are a dime a dozen, but will most likely need a full rebuild.

the block is a 75 350 truck block the pistons are remanufactured from that block new rings and bearings lunati voodoo cam world alum heads lunati blue roller rockers weiand xcelerator intake holley 750
