now I have to hear it from 69 too

anyway, I'm cheap (it's pretty obvious in my posts) but for giggles I did a complete tranny flush (not just a drain) in one of my vehicles and used Amsoil synthetic. It killed me to pay that much for fluid when generic was calling out to me but I wanted to give it a go.

At idle, the vehicle actually rolled about 1-2mph faster, no kidding. I never bothered to check mpg because i didn't do a before and after

Now, would fresh regular fluid have been similar, who knows. I had 60k on the clock and it was time for that maintenance item and who remembers what it was like brand new.

i don't have a transmission temp gauge either so can't say if it runs any cooler.

Roll 1-2 faster????? Are you implying that the synthetic, or the flush was a good thing, or a bad thing?

I wouldn't be surprised if t.i.g. puts synthetic in his coffee, to make his 1-2 faster! lmao

if it was rolling faster at the same rpm then I'd say a good thing.

what I can neither confirm or deny is were the results only because of synthetic or would regular fluid have done the same after the flush.

The synthetic transmission fluid works great in my 83. I switch as soon as it came out on the market. No problems.
