Which is easiest on an 87 Camaro?
So I want to buy a third gen but I'm wondering whether its easier to get a V6 manual and eventually swap in a V8 or whether I'd be better of trying to find a cheap V8 and swapping it to a manual. I just found a really nice camaro that I can get for $1000, it's been sitting for 20 years so it would have a bit of work need straight away but its a V6 manual. I can't make up my mind as to whether i would rather a manual or a V8. However most of the V8s i find in this price range either need a new engine, new trans, or are really rusty... what are your thoughts?
Thanks in advance for the help.

Save your pennies and find a V-8 stickshift car, you'll have a lot less headaches. 3rd gen cars are still pretty cheap at this point and there are Z28's out there with stick shifts.
Here's one local to me that needs engine work for $900 as an example. https://portland.craigslist.org/clk/...674115069.html
