I'd stay away from Flowmaster. I've heard and seen some tests where they actually flowed worse than stock...but that was also dependent on the vehicle.

I would have made the trap door for next time, but then again I only have a floor jack.

I can't remember, but have you done a tune up for it yet?

When i first got it at the begining of 2012, i put in a new battery, oil change, cap and roter, plugs and wires, fuel filter, and now rear shocks, and fuel pump. Im getting a muffler tomorrow im not sure if its a flow master, but they said its high flow and loud. I have to put the muffler on, fix the floor in the back, i ordered carpet today, I have to figure out why the only gauge that works is the rpms, and after the muffler is back on i can see how it runs, hopefully good so i can get back to making it look good. I called around looking for partial floor pans, i havent found one yet and the whole ones are expensive, i might have to make something out of sheet metal or something like that. Ill put a pic of the floor, but this is the only bad rust on the car, and ive ben told its not structural. Im gonna put a pic of this plastic thing that was under the consonsole by the shifter, do u know what this is?

Damn...that rust isn't too bad...but still bad enough.

As far as that thing goes, it looks like a control module for something. I'd follow the wires and see where they lead you...

Fixed the floors, ordered the rugs and door panels, put the muffler back on. Unfortunately it still runs like crap, but i am optimistic. I think i have to check the timming, and vaccums i think, ill find out more tomorrow.

Well it looks like the 305 is coming out. There is something very wrong with it, im told probably the cam bareing. I bought a 350 tpi out of an 88 camaro with 77K on it. I have it on an engine stand, i striped everything off of it and im gonna do all new gaskets. Im also gonna go with new: oil pump, water pump, alternator, starter, and timing kit. Its gonna get headman shorty headers with new y pipe, and a magnaflow cat back system. Im gonna block off the egr, 9th injector, and get rid of the oil cooler, and a/c. Also gonna do the clutch while im at it.

There ya go! You'll be happy with 350. Just be easy on the transmission and rear end.

Lookin good. Btw, it's easier pulling the engine and trans out together. And way easier putting them back in together, as opposed to fighting with lining up the trans under the car.

That isn't the same 350 your friend said was an LT1, is it?

If thats the case i will put it in with the tranny attached, i didnt get to finish today, but should be doing it tomorrow. And no this is a 350 that had 77k out of an 88 iroc. I striped it down to the block, sent the heads out, put in a melling hi flow oil pump, did a new timming kit, and all new gaskets. And painted it.
