Cool 86' Iroc Z28 Build

History of car: This was first car I ever drove when I was 12. I told the owner I had my permit and he let me drive it around the parking lot lol. When I turned 18 my dad bought the car off his friend and put a paint job on it and new seals all around and then parked it . My father passed away 1-1-08.. way to start off the new year. After fighting tooth and nail with my gold digging step mother, I was heir to his camaro. The car had a bad fuel pump, replaced it but I lost to strap bolts to the tank. Then the flood hit Nashville and my dad's camaro sat in 4 ft of water for 4 days until the water receded. So I gave up on it for a few years. Now that I have my dd running great it's time to bring my dad's car back to life.

My vision of the car: To have it clean, fast, looked for a cammed sound at idle(sooo sexy), it will be a built street car and plan on goin to the track once after the build, and basically build the car how I believe my dad would have built it himself.

As it sits right now: It is in the air, seized up and rusted 305 is out, trans is out, full of grey fluid, interior all out except the dash and dash pad, driver's side floor pan rusted bad in 3 different spots.

Work done so far: a/c delete, painted engine bay black looks 100000% better as you'll see in pics, Pressure washed interior (flood mud was everywere).

Future work to be done: Go from grey to black interior( doing this weekend weather permiting ofc) , old school 350 swap, beef up and rebuild trans to support 400 hp estimate, make car stiff enough to support estimated hp, beef up rear end to support estimated hp, put it on sum old school cragar or weld racing rims.

Due to me working 75/85 hrs a week, my only day to play around is sunday. I will be posting up pics weekly of my progress. Of course if by some chance I can't work on it due to weather, financial reasons there will be no update. Thanks to everyone thats helped me out with information so far it was much appreciated. I'd rather ask questions before I spend money =D Thanks and check back regularly.
