looking to build
hello all, new member today. I had a 69 Z/28 RS back in highschool plus many others cars. I am a muscle fan and have respect to all of the big 3.
I am looking into build a "new" 1969 camaro but I have a few questions. I see there are a few companies offering the body shell. Goodmark and Dynacorn. which body is better, and why? Can you get all the parts (new)to build the car?
My goal is to build the following:
69 Z/28 RS (silver with white stripes) witha blackdeluxe interior. crank windows, AC, PS, PB
LS engine (not sure which one yet) 6spd trans with DES suspension 3:73 gears
4 wheel disc brakes with 17 or 18" custom wheels
This car will be a daily driver
Thank you,
Stephen

RE: looking to build
you should be able to find pretty much every part new. sites like yearone.com, nationalpartsdepot.com, classicindustries.com, etc would have the parts. if you are going to put all new parts in it, be ready to spend alot of money, but if you are wanting to build a 69 Z/28 RS i'm guessing you have the money. more power to you, just take some pics to show the progress!

same of the part I want to make sure you can see get is the back glass, 1/4glass, and door glas plus all the trim and mech. parts. Its not about having tons of monies, its about spending the monies wisely. I just dont feel like fixing 30plus metal. This is a car I plan on doing alot of driving and driving very hard. The car will be either supercharged or turbo.

Dynacorn....from all the press and muscle car shows it dead on the best as far as shell's go. All the others are great for parts. There was a whole show on Speed where they built a dynacorn car from ground up. Car turned out great. Keep us posted with the build.

They built a 67, I did not know Dynacorn offer that too. Its a 2 year project, most of the cars I have built have taken me two years.
Hereare pics of the last car I just finished. The one before this was a 1966 Plymouth HPII Hemi

Looks good. sure the camaro will be better.

With each car I build, they get better. I like cars that "look stock", but go like hell.
