Default 82 305 carb Cfm

I have a 82 with a 305. The rodchester I have is rusted and missing parts. I also have a holly double pump quad barrel that puts out 750cfm. If I throw that on, is that overcarboratimg my small v8? Is so what Cfm should I be running it at?

Stock 82 305 would be fine at 500 CFM. I think the stock intake will only flow 300ish and I assume you are trying to run 6000 RPMs.

750 is way overkill.

Does you car still have the computer controlled carb?
