I wish that I could say that my interior (92 camaro) was perfect, but it has a few imperfections, one of which will be a ***** to replace. the Dash Pad has a huge crack in it near the speaker grills. I currently have a parts car (a 1989 Firebird), but I'm not sure if it'll fit. The glass seems to be at a different angle, and they don't seem to be exactly the same dimensions (although this could be because the camaro has a broader angle, so I could get the tape measure back a little further). Does anyone have any experience with swapping from Firebirds to camaros? and If it doesn't fit, would any third gen camaro dash fit?

Any third gen will fit but they are different. If you put an 82-89 up to a 90-92 you will notice the diffrences. The edge close to you is a different angle and the area around the center vents is a different shape.

 

oh okay. If I need to I could go yard hunting (there are at least 5 junk yards within 10 miles of me). Would it stick out like a sore thumb? or would it just be different from stock. I don't mind if you could tell if you compared side by side, but I would like it to look nice and clean, and not like the frankenstein of interiors.

 

I could pick it out. I owned an 84 and now a 91 so I can see the differences. I dont know how frankenish it would look. The biggest deal would be where the center vents are because the are shaped different. The 90+ has the sides at an angle and the early ones are straight so I don't know what the fit would be like there with a straight notch from an early dash.

 

yep any 3rd gen camaro or fireterd will work, got one off a fireterd at pull-a-part, perfect condition, for only 10 bucks, nice deal huh.Dhighway
