where to buy this thing for a hood

wow, so I can cut holes in my 100 dollar fiberglass hood and sell it for 800? SAAAAAWEEEEEET.....

actually I think I read that the 83 had that type but they discontinued because of complants of water in the carb during rain, but dont quote me on the dates

That's def. stock. Used on 82-83 Cross Fire Injection Z28's. Part of the CFI package. Mine:

There is actually a whole assembly with an electric motor that opens the 2 flaps that are supposed to be there when it is at WOT. Mine was functional, but when I put my engine in it I had to do away with the ram air assembly to gain hood clearance. I then took the 2 flaps and fiberglassed them in.

Basically, the best advise is to get some fiberglass resin as said before, and go to town on it.

wow i never knew that the first 2 years of 3rd gens had that. pretty cool. that sucks you had to get rid of it though.
