wow, so I can cut holes in my 100 dollar fiberglass hood and sell it for 800? SAAAAAWEEEEEET.....
actually I think I read that the 83 had that type but they discontinued because of complants of water in the carb during rain, but dont quote me on the dates

seal it up with fiberglass and put some stock louvers on there. ive never heard or seen any ram air setup on a 3rd gen like that. get some glass and resin, seal it up on the inside, gently sand it down and buy some louvers from a junkyard that are in good shape. drill the holes and bolt them on.
There is actually a whole assembly with an electric motor that opens the 2 flaps that are supposed to be there when it is at WOT. Mine was functional, but when I put my engine in it I had to do away with the ram air assembly to gain hood clearance. I then took the 2 flaps and fiberglassed them in.
Basically, the best advise is to get some fiberglass resin as said before, and go to town on it.
