Default Wheel locking up.

I've been having a problem with my 92 camaro. It's been pulling to the left a decent bit and when I hit the breaks it swirvs left then pulls back right real fast. Well recently I was riding and the car started pulling right and I realized the right front break locked. I changed the 2 front pads and the caliper on the right side because I thought it was causing the problem. Next day I hop in the car and the same thing happens. Start riding and I use the breaks. I pick up again and I realize the breaks are grinding on the right side.

Anyone have any clues as to what else it could be? And what all could cause the car to constantly pull left?

Sounds like the brake combo valve. just below the master cylinder.

I don't mean to comeoff sarcastic I'm just curious, do you mean the proportioning valve or the metering valve GM? If so, I've never heard of either locking up the brake system let alone just one wheel. Am I wrong?

Some call it a proportioning valve, or a metering valve. The GM parts book calls it a combo valve. All it does is proportions brake power to each wheel.

I had the same problem with my car. The rubber hose going to the brake had a small piece of the hose split inside the hose. When I applied the brakes the fluid would flow into the brake, then when the fluid tried to flow back, that small piece of hose wouldn't allow the fluid to retract. I just replaced the rubber hose and the brakes worked fine. Good Luck

This issue only affects one wheel. so it cannot be the metering or proportioning valves. It's a brake hose or a caliper. Recreate the lockup, and without holding pressure on the brake pedal, open the bleader on the affected caliper, if the brake releases the the hose is bad, holding brake press on the caliper, as Thumper described. if not, then the calipers bad. If it's a brake hose just replace all three of them.

Rubber brake hose failure. Try replacing with SS brake lines.

I have had the same problem with the right brake freezing up. After putting a new pad on it, the pad would be to the metal with in a few hours of driving and braking. Replacing hoses did not help for me. It all came down the the Proportioning valve. After replacing that, the problem went away.
