what needs replaced 92 rs 305 storage 17yrs
ok guy im new here and have an 80 z28. I'm looking at buying a 1992 rs 25th anv. edition, 43k miles, automatic with t-tops. A friend of a friend is selling it because she is moving and her husband has pased away. the car has been sitting in a heated garage for the last 17 years and was started from time to time by her husband. he drained the gas tank and since his passing about a year and a half ago it has not been started. So i was wondering whta i would have to replace and how much i would have to invest for it to be a car i could drive all summer if i wanted? i've checked it out and its a clean car when i popped the hood it looked like it could have been a new 92 camaro interior, paint etc all the asthetics seem to be mint. mechanically the lady knows it needs tire and says the gas tank needs cleaned. besides those two things what am i going to have to replace?

I'd start looking at hoses and rubber lines. If they are 17 years old they really can't be trusted. and in reality they are probably 20+ years old.
Plan on brake flex lines and calipers to start. A car that doesn't stop can really ruin your day. Radiator hoses are a good bet and the belts.
And of course every fluid from bumper to bumper.
After that rubber suspension pieces that have been sitting static for so long may start to break and crack once it's driven again.
I just went through this with a 93 honda for my son.
