Default Storage

Have a couple of concerns. This is the first year i had to store a car(97 Z28) I have it in a garage with a concrete floor. I put a tarp under the car to help it from sweating. I had a about half a tank of gas in it so i ran some stabilizer in it. Has a custom car cover over it with the windows both have down. Am i missing anything else big to do for my CAMARO THANKS for the help

how long is it being stored for ?

if its more than 3 months i would drain the oil, then when you want to drive it again just fill it up with new oil

you'll be fine no matter what you do really if its only 3 or so months. mine has been sitting for the last 3 months now. all i have is a car cover on it and then go start it every couple weeks for a while and shut her down and put her back to bed. if you're talking a year or something then you're going to want to get more into draining oil and all that jazz

You don't want to store a car with no oil in it. Just leave the oil in and change it when you take it out of storage. I have been storing my "toy cars' every winter for a long time, all I ever do is just park them and put Stabil in the tank. 3-6 months is nothing.

I would roll the windows up and throw some dehumidifier bags in there- mothballs too if you have mice

I've been storing my 2002 Camaro during the winter since I bought it new. I put up on a couple thicknessesof carpet to get the tires off the concrete, lower the air pressure in the tiresand charge the battery once a month. I also change the oil before putting it to bed for the long Ohio winter so the acids in the used oil don't work on the motor. Also, I was told to put a few fabric softener sheet inside to keep the mice away. I don't know if that is BS or not, all I know is that there is never a sign of mice (turds, etc) in the spring. Of course, some of you may know the old joke about the farmer jumping up and down naked to keep the elephants out of the corn, right? His neighbor tells the farmer that there wasn't an elephant within 10,000 miles of the farm. "See," says the farmer. "It works."
