Sorry about that, I'm still new to all this transmission talk. I'm reading up on this TV cable right now.

Update:

My dad may have found a TH-350 transmission, but the question is for you guys. Will everything bolt back up, and keep the same driveshaft?

No...and no.
You're going to have to revamp the crossmember, and lengthen your driveshaft. Plus you're going to lose overdrive, which is going to hurt your gas mileage if you drive it on the highway. I'd look for another 700R4. You're certain your present one is toast then?

Transmission shop says yes, the present one is toast. But, since of short on funds right now, I was told that it would be cheaper to rebuild a TH-350 or a TH-400. I guess the 400 wouldn't work right either?

the 4l60e in my 85 blazer will lock up in third gear under two conditions. i manually select third and its over 45, or if its a forced downshift, it will then lock again around 75-80. i as well as getting a whine noise and i know my trans is slipping in 4th, but it sounds like its in the rear

as for the trans, your best bet is to get a used one for $100. the work required to rebuild and retrofit a th350 or 400 far outweighs even a rebuilt 700r4, which is equal to the 350 just with an overdrive

Im telling you, listen to the man......not having overdrive sucks...especially if you run lower gears. Ive got a turbo 350 and 3.73's.....my top end sucks and I spin about 2800 rpm on the highway.

I know what your saying, but if it's going to be cheaper to build a th350 or a 400, i'll have to go that that route because im really low on money.
