Default voltage

hi I have a 92 with a 5.0 and auto the battery I I'm using is a interstate megatron 2 750. does anyone know what the voltage meter should read if the battery is good? its over a year old and I live in AZ. also are the any other problems having a bad battery or alternator can cause? thank you.

with the car running it should be at about 14.5V not running 12V.

all batteries should read about 12-12.5v. with the engine running, 14-14.5v

Do this test. Hook up a volt meter to the battery. set it to 12 DC volts. Have an assistant start the car. the battery when load tested shoulld not drop below 10v while cranking. If it goes lower, the battery is either not chargerd, or bad.
