Default Transmission Line Advice

Hey there! I was replacing my radiator and came to find the bottom transmission line wasn't slipping into the radiator as easy at the top one. Come to find out, there was leverage happening at the point of insertion. So, instead of popping straight in like the top one, there was a sort of "bend" that was happening that would prevent the line from staying put. Whenever I would try tightening it, it would just pop out because of the leverage taking place. Has anyone experienced this before? Does this seem like an issue with the entire line or just the connect? If it was just the connect, would I be able to replace that alone anyway? I'm having trouble finding information with older vehicles, so I'm scouring forums in hopes for some insight. She's an 86 Z28 btw if that helps any
