Default transmission or bellhousing

Hey I have an 89 camaro with a 305 tuned port. It had a 5 speed in it but someone put a smaller 5 speed in it instead of the world class so it ripped a gear. Well upon buying a rebuilt transmission from what ever it takes transmissions. It would not mount up to the existing bellhousing. the transmission the was in the car was out of a s10 so the new transmission wont go in. I need a bellhousing with transmission bolt holes at 8 inches from center of bolt hole to center of bolt hole along the top. and 6 and 1/2 for the other 3 any help would be great

what year s10 did that transmission come out of?
if it was around the same year as your car it should have mounted no problem.
the only thing I had to do was change the spedo gears in the tailshaft of the transmission I put in my car.

can you swap the guts out of the new transmission to the old belhousing from the transmission that you took out?

it is out of a early 90's s10. the only thing is that makes it a none world class transmission which is what was originally in the car. I can find bellhousings for none world class all day long i need the world class because that is the tranny i have now. and the insides wont switch the gears and everything in the world class is to big for the none world class housing. the bolt holes on the none world class across top is about 6' and 1/2 inches and the world class is 8. bigger better tranny
