Im thinking of getting a 1986 Z28. Owner states that after changing the timing chain the car will no longer shift out of first gear. (700r4)
Anyone have any ideas on what this could be??
Im thinking A vacum line didnt get hooked up somewhere or maybe the TV cable???

 

must likely the lockup solenoid is unplugged. if so it would appear that it won't shift out of first but, it will at "very high" rpm's. i run a 700r-4 in my hotrod with the lockup disconnected. it works well for drag racing but, its not very practical for a daily driver. the lockup connection is on top of the pan, in the front. right side i think. Sick
