TBI to carb
i know this is probably a post already, but i cant find it. i have an 89 camaro that used to have a TBI 350. i swapped in a rebuilt, carbed 350 and i dont know how to wire everything so it will at least run. im not worried about passing inspection and stuff right now, i just want it to run and have gauges.

Ive never done it before but I would just hook everything up they way it was with the other motor, except crap like sensors where you obviously have no place to plug them in at, lol. Remember you will have to put a regulator in to drop the fuel PSI down to about 6-8 for the carb, or remove the electric pump and install a mechanical pump.

you will now not need the computer at all (assuming you have a regular distributor. all your knock sensors, o2 sensors, coolant sensor, etc, etc, are no longer needed. you also don't need a return line to the fuel tank anymore. also as was said in previous post, did you put in a mechanical fuel pump?
just put power to your starter, wire up your alternator and battery and you're good to go!

if you used the standard 700R-4 tranny your gonna have to put a kit in it or hotwire the lockup mechanism or it won't shift right. the kit is about a hundred bucks. if you do nothing it will only shift at extremely high RPM's. Sick

Its pretty easy. The wires that come from the computer harness on the right side you will not be able to use and do not need. The wires from the left that goes into the fuse panel are your headlights on one half and gauges and all the good stuff on the other half. You can hot wire your fuel pump a number of ways to work for you and just regulate it to 7 psi. If you go with a mechanical fuel pump you will need to remove the stock one from the tank and make a pick up.
And as mentioned by sicksicksick you will need a controler for the TCC. Check summit. they sell the B&M for around 80 (i think) or a TCI for a few hundred.
