sticking throttle cable

Default sticking throttle cable

how do i go about lubing the throttle cable? its starting to stick and is bringing the idle up to 1100-2000, and its really annoying and unsafe

Maybe your throttle linkage is getting dirty and is sticking. Or pull the cable off the throttle body and hold it up and straight and spray some lube in there.

I would spray the cable, the sleeve, the out side throttle pully, cleaning out the thorttle body with some cleaner and then lubricating the points where the shaft goes from the plate to the bore. Don't go to buck wild in there, lube in the intake system...Not a great out come.

thanks guys. ill try to work on it next weekend, its way too cold now
