Exclamation Speedometer Stuck at 0 mph!

Hey everybody about a week ago i stop at a gas station to fill up my camaro and when i was ready to go i hopped in at ignited my engine and aright before i put it to gear i realized that there was smoke coming from my dash so i turned off the engine and opened the hood thinking the smoke came from there. but it was inside the car so i tried again and no smoke but i realized on the way home the speedometer went out. Any ideas? the fuses are all good so i have no idea.... thanks for the feedback!

The speedo has a circuit board in back, may have toasted it.
Lemme know if yours is bad, I have a complete 1990-92 gauge cluster (and yes the speedo is good).

How does the circuit board become toast?
