Good idea, but first make sure the speedo on the Stang works. But not to worry, you can always trade the Stang for a Renault that may have a good speedo.

^ Lol...what better reason to go from a Camaro to a Pustang than because of a speedometer problem? Come to think of it, I don't recall ever hearing about Yugo's having had speedo problems either. The possibilities for a sure fix are endless!

lol real funny guys the only reason im thinking about switching to it cause its light emissions exemp and it has a bigger engine by 1 c.i.

how do i find the ratio of the rear end its snowing so i dont wanna do it by lifting the car and turning the wheels are the rear ends tagged or something?

op codes will tell u what was in the car when it was manufacured. i think there in the glove box on the 91 but not sure could be in the center consol. its a list of letters and numbers that tell u what options are in your car. gu2 is a 273 ratio gu5 is 323s i think gu6 is 342.

i dont have a glove box so it would be on the sticker that in the center on the side of it?

The code will tell what was factory installed, and what might still be in the rearend. But there's no guarantee that a previous owner didn't once upon a time change them for a different ratio. Nothings more certain than a twirl test or a visual check.

idk this car was raced and in result the original 305 was blown and 350 dropped in but never put new computer in so it throws random codes but dam i really dont feel like sitting on the cold wet ground and rotate the axles

your codes are on the little compartent cover in the hatch.

GU2-2.73 RATIO
GU4-3.08 RATIO
GU5-3.23 RATIO
GU6-3.42 RATIO
GU7-3.73 RATIO
GU8-3.90 RATIO
GU9-3.91 RATIO
