The only V8 that came in your RS was a 305. Either the 350 was a swap, or the previous was mistaken or clueless. You'll need to check the casting numbers on the block. There also may be a "5.0" or "5.7" casting at the bellhousing flange.

I sold this car today. It was just going to be too much trouble to work on.
I gave the kid a great deal. $600.00.
I have a friend that has a lot of Camaros and I'll go check them out.
He is a dealer and told me I could go to the auction with him and pick them up for $1500.00.
Maybe I'll find a straight shift. Roy

Never just buy a car without throughly looking over it and driving it. I checked out my 82 soooo much and drove it before i bought it and i still found alot of little problems after taking it home. People will screw you over so be careful. Camaros are great cars but alot of people have put them through hell. You will find another one...GOOD LUCK!
