Rebuild 5.7 or get a 454?

I bought and sold a GMC S15 pickup over an 18 hr period and tripled my money, didn't intend to sell it when I bought it. My neighbor saw it in the driveway the morning after I bought it and made me an offer. You never know.

I've seen just as many trashed 92's as I have 84's. It's all about how the vehicle was taken care of and whether or not it was driven in the winters.

The car is in very good shape. The previous owner bought it while stationed at Bragg. He kept it in storage for two years. He moved back to mass and decided to sign on for another deployment.
Currently the car only needs a battery, gasket, front left tire and the drivers door needs a shim.

Not bad. Are you still looking to upgrade? If so, the options are still the same. You can rebuild the 305 and throw some aftermarket parts in, update the intake and exhaust and be happy with the sound. Or, pull it, sell it and build a 350. You won't win many races with the 305, but you will still be happy and have a since of accomplishment once its rebuilt and running.

Sooner or later down the line, yes. As of right now I may be chaning my career path from mechanics/construction to full time auto body.
Will the build be within the next three months? Maybe, but financially speaking, no. Within the next three to six months? Hell yeah.
