Check out youtube. Removing a small block chevy from a 3rd gen is a lot like removing one from a first gen. Just a lot more wires and hoses.

Are you pulling the trans with the engine?

How bad do the exhaust bolts look? On a 25+ year old car breaking bolts can be an issue. Soak them with PB blaster or Kroil a couple of days ahead of the start can help a lot.
