I'm thinking of replacing my rusted through muffler with one of these mufflers on my 89' 5.7 maro and putting a flame kit. Does anyone disagree??? and why?

flame kits are definitly illegal....

 

You can get a car to "spit flames" just by running rich. You'll see it a lot with turbo'd cars.

 

I'm pretty sure that those are header collecters so good luck. Also there is a kit that you can buy that has everythig that you need to shoot flames

 

that doesnt mean its legal to have flames coming out of your exhaust

 

No, it definitely doesn't mean it's legal, but what can ya do? It happens. I see it happen A LOT with STis.

 

well, they are probably collector mufflers. but good luck gettin long tubes without a collector for a 3rd generation, unless you make them yourself.
