Default a-pillar gauges

i already have after market gauges mounted in my car, unfortunatly, they are under the mid vents above the stereo... my water temp gauge broke and i need to replace it anyway. So, i was thinking about going with the a-pillar mounting. Have any of you done this? How hard is it? I was gona get electronic gauges from auto-meter to put in there so i HOPEFULLY wont have to do it again.

Check www.classicindustries.com they have a set that actually mounts to where your stock gauges go and you could choose which ever ones you want to put in. It cleans up the dash board of big gauges and people won't see them (sleeper ). I'm not a big fan of the a-pillar gauges.

the only problem i can think of is visibility, and maybe issues of getting in and out if you are tall (which is a feat for short people too) the lights from the gauges would be in your eyes, and the already large a-pillar would be a bigger block in your visibility.

As far as difficulty I've never done one but I would just assume that it's just a matter of rerouting the wires through the dashboard to the a-pillar location. Try the link below (it's a big file so be patient and scroll down till you find the aftermarket gauge section). I have the catalog and love it

I have a triple pillar gauges in my car and a roll cage and it doesnt bother me getting in and out. I think the pillar gauges look good in a third gen camaro.
