ok you guys...
Well if you figure you get 15mpg @900 miles that would use about 60 gallons of fuel. So if fuel was $5.00 per it would be $300. That put $500 back in your pocket for junk food to munch on the way. The hauler charges for the fuel used, most likely diesel, and labor which would be a bit because of what is included. (wear and tear on a vehicle, overhead...)
Does your mom drive it now? Does she get along with the over heating issue? How hot is it getting? People will believe as it goes over 220 on the gauge that is over heating. Also find out if it has over heated real bad and if it is smokiing and/or using a lot of oil. Something that will go bad at times is valve guide seals when an engine over heats real bad. But I have had my 91 RS 305 in the red before due to real bad stop and go traffic and running the a/c without and adverse affects.

After sitting for a period of time the car may idle really high until it goes through a few start ups or a drive cycle so the computer can relearn. Mine did this from sitting for about 2-3 months. All I had to do was start it, let it warm up, then shut it off and restart and the idle kicked down and was fine.
Not saying that is why your mom's is doing that but it is a very good possibilty

well i just found a car hauling place today that will go get it and bring it here for 600.
so i think i will most likely go with that.
i dont have a trailer.
and i think it'd be cheaper to get it hauled.
but i dont know.

For that price, I would have it hauled. I wouldn't risk driving a car such a long distance after it's been sitting for a year, at least not without going over it thoroughly. With that car, odds are greater that something could go wrong as compared to if it still was a daily driver. And yes, the brake lines are one serious concern on a car that's been sitting a prolonged period of time. Better to get it brought home safely, fix whatever needs fixing and break it in again locally.
will do.

i will have the car home by september or sooner.
i put 100 away every paycheck and i got about two-hundred in the bank right now,
so i can actually get it home sooner than august.
SwEEt!
