i plan on doing a little work to the car anyways.
i've been looking around here for months and everytime i do i can find a good car for about 1000-2000
one pops up every now and then.
and i mean if i gotta get even more money saved up, then i will.
beleive me.
and as far as rebuilding goes,
i dont mind at all.
unless it needs a complete rebuild.
i dont mind if it needs a new motor or tranny or something.
i dont care about interior or paint.
as long as it runs, i can deal with it.
i slightly want something that needs work.
i mean whats the fun of buying a car if its perfect?
whats the fun in that.

not a good outlook..... [&:]
i wouldnt want to buy a car expecting to have to fix everything. how mechanically inclined are you? if you buy a car that cheap there is a very good chance you will be biting off more than you can chew.

beleive me i am not looking for a project car.
if i buy a car that needs total rebuild it will never get done.
all i said is as long as the car runs and no major body work to be done, i dont mind spending to fix it up.
i might not be able to get a 87 iroc but i will try as hard as i can and work my *** off.
my mom has a 92 rs 25th anniversary with a stock 305 that she is planning on selling to me for 1200.
but she also lives in florida and i need a way to get it up here.
i live in kentucky.
it needs some minor work to it.
the car over heats.
thats all she said about it.
so if i get the car i am sure to find alot more problems with it.

Well there ya go! The over heating may be hot weather ( don't know what its like in FL) traffic, stop and go driving with the a/c on,.. The car will only have one electric fan on it. Maybe the fan is not working, Blown fuse maybe. But if the rest of the car is in good condition and can make the drive home it may be a good buy for you. Then you can spend your extra money on the car or boys. Ya know a Camaro is a guy magnet

MOST companies charge by the mile. You best bet is to get down there and drive it home yourself, you will probably save money that way

yeah,
thats what i was thinking today while i was at work.
i started looking around for car hauling places and thought it'd be cheaper to go get it myself.
well the car runs but it over heats so i will probably get a uhaul trailer and use my grandpas truck and go get it.
i will most likely have the money for gas a little bit after august or september.

it probably wouldnt overheat on the highway simply because the air going into your engine bay is keeping it cool enough. but watch it when you get off the highway and drive it smart ( not floored the whole way home ).

yeah.
well i also have some shipping quotes froma few car hauling companies and all in all it will ost about 800 to bring the car up here through them.
its about 8or9 hundred miles to and back where the car isat in florida.
what do you think, with gas being so high, would it be cheaper to go get it myself or pay car haulers?
