ok you guys...
Good car, period. :v
Although if you're just starting to drive you might want to pick something that you won't care about trashing, just in case something happens. Y'know, knock on wood and all, but it's best to have a piece of junk to screw with initially and move on to something nice after you've gotten a bit of experience. Wish I'd done that >.>

Thats right. A good car, but, not a good FIRST car.
High insurance cost, low gas mileage, High performance and your little expirience. You will wreck it and hurt yourself or others. Most 16 year olds don't have the disiplin to drive one of those safely.

In all seriousness, I don't want to knock your driving skills, since I've got no knowledge of them whatsoever- but the best choice for a first car is anything that doesn't cost a lot of money. Look for something in the range of about $500-$1500, refuse to put any money into it aside from the occasional oil change- which you spend as little money as possible on. When it dies, then you go looking for your Camaro.
s'basically what I'm doing with my Mazda, except I got my Camaro first :v
That's my suggestion anyway- if you've really got to have it, then by all means go for it. If you can take proper care of it, you'll never regret buying it. But you may be wiser to work with something a little less valuable to begin with.

Not my V6, the V6 offered at the time. Isn't it a 2.8 or something? Ask me about modding a first car, and not knowing how to drive.

yeah i know i have been told a thousand times about the whole first time driver thing.
and i refuse to go v6, my dad has tried that one already=)
but i am not spending anything more than possibly 1600 or a little more.
and i know insurance is going to be high, but i dont care.
i mean i am sixteen, i aint got much else to spend my money on ya know.
thats all i plan on spending my money on is the car.
well gas and insurance after i buy the car.
and as for driving experience,
i have alot but not much on the road.
but i am a smart girl and if you gotta worry about anything, it'd be the dumbasses already on the road.

Well, with that price limit in mind you probably won't be able to pull off an IROC-Z unless you don't mind rebuilding the thing. The best I can find (searching locally, btw) is about $5000, and it's almost guaranteed it'd have issues at that price.
