Default new to camaros. lots of questions

i am new to camaros and carbs but all about speed. i own a 450hp supercharged mustang but just pulled a worked 350 motor out of a 82 camaro. below is a list of all my questions.

1) how do i know its a real 350. on the upper right corner of the block it says gm 5.0lg. isnt that a 305?? it also has the numbers 46 next to that
2) how many cfm is this carb. its a holley double pumper and and reads 12r-105546. any other way to tell?
3) i was told it was borded .60 over. how do i find out? any tools i got to get?
4) whats the hp range for a toker edelbrock manifold??
5) what kind of transmission is this and can it hold the power. its automatic and has a big 51c in the middle.
6) can i put this motor in a 67-73 camaro?

it also has a monster cam and shorty headers. i dont know what heads are on it but is there a way to find out??? about how much hp is this pushing?? if you people can help me with anything i would really appreciate it.

1. If it says 5.0 then its a 305. GM's " fuel efficient" V8. Its junk if you want power. Even being bored .060 over it wont be a 350.
2. Are those the only numbers on the carb?
3. To check bore you need to get a tool that measures cylinder bore INSIDE the cylinder. Not a micrometer or anything, they wont give you the correct reading.
4. HP range is dependent on cylinder heads, pistons, and what carb you slap on top of it.
5. If its the original 82 tranny, its a 3 speed auto and is also not going to hold much power..
6. You can put any motor you want into that car.. regardless of where you live.

As for that motor.. 0-500 horse is a safe bet. we need more info to give you a better idea.. Not to sound like a smartass, but saying what you told us, nobody can give you an accurate ( or even ballpark) guess.

That 305 will fit in the early Camaros or about any other Chevy V8 car or truck for that mater.
