Default Need some input.

Hey all. I’m new to the page. I have a 85 Iroc z. Motor ended up getting seized. I have a good 350 with low miles that’s I will be putting in the car. I am swapping the TPI set up over. Should I do a new cam or is the stock one in the 350 ok? Or would the better option be to just get a new anyway?

JMT's, if staying with TPI & EFI, keep stock camshaft as ECM will learn with 350 from 305 CID.
Welcome, Corey.

The 350 has seen stock configuration of 140hp to over 350hp. Those two engines have very different CAMs. For 140 HP version yes a new cam will help for the 275hp up 350's your intake will be a choke point. Heck the TPI intake was a choke point on the L98 350's they came on.
