i just bought a 84 camaro i took the engine out which is a 305 and i had it bored .030 over, the heads redone and shaved got a overhaul kit from summit with every thing stock except the pistons obviously, a holley intake and headman headers (shortys), now im deciding on a cam.... i was thinking i would go with the energizer from crane cams (274/274, .45"/.45")...... i wanted a cam that would give me the lopy sound and give me low and mid range power... could you just tell me if that would be a good cam to go with and about how much hp am i lookin at.

 

comp cams xe262h - 10 "extreme energy" hydraulic flat tappet cam. 218/224 dur @ 0.050, .462/.469 lift, 110 deg ls. set initial timing to 16 deg btdc

i got that from somewere with someone building up a 305 i have also have a 305 tbi and was thinking about something along these lines there was a hp increase of 53 hp!
