Need 3rd gen info
Hi folks, Im new to the forums.
Im working on a budget minded bracket racer. My plan consists of the following: V6 chassis, V8 springs, and a mildly built 454.
Im wondering if
A: the 454 and V6 are interchangable
B: if the RS front end bolts directly to the V6 body
C: will the rear end of the V6 hold up to the twist of a 454
Thank you, and have a nice day.

To hopefully answer some questions as I know:
1. There may be some moving of pieces to make the new engine fit, but it should.
2. The RS came in a V6 or V8, so it should fit.
3. I would not recommend keeping that rear end.
I don't know a whole lot about body work, but hopefully this will help.

You will need to do a lot of shuffling & shoe horning to get a big glock into your car, as it was not designed with a big block in mind. The stock V6 drivetrain will get crispified in short order by a good running big block, so you will need to beef up everything behind the engine. You may want to consider a big (383") small block V8 and save yourself some work.
Youll need to replace the v6 enginemounts with the v8 mounts, they should bolt to the same place.
Secondly I HIGHLY SUGGEST using subframr connectors so that the subframes wont bend out of whack.
