RE: my car broke down
2.8 lt. V6 stock, was working on getting some parts for it. I checked the wires and they all looked clean. The car turns over but it just doesnt fire. It also could be the timing belt but I'm not sure totaly.

First thing, the 2.8 does not use a timing belt, the camshaft is chain driven. Open the oil filler cap, and while the engined is being cranked, look to see if the rocker arms are moving. If they are moving the chain is still in one piece.
Have you checked for spark?? If spark is OK, check fuel pressure at the fuel rail, should be 40-45 PSI with the ignition key on.

RE: my car broke down
When I checked my spark, i wasnt getting any spark, so I took off my distributer cap. I couldnt really see anything wrong but I dont really know what im looking for. It was white but the bottom looked rusted. Is this a bad sign?
