Default help i think my car is broke

when ever i turn the steering wheel it makes a really loud noise what is it? please help.

it could be a ton of things, rack, tie rod ends, intermediate shaft, the column

i know it didn't start until i hit a bump the other day if that helps

jack up the front and shake the wheels side to side any play would indicate tie rod ends

Does it make the noise when it's not moving and you turn the wheel?

Yes, please explain in more detail. Is it a whining noise? Clunk? Squeak? Rattle? Is there excessive play in the steering wheel?
